Josh, as evidence with my style of video, I really like this style content. The voiceover and running footage was great. I like seeing you run courses and see what types of gates you set. I know you’ve mentioned you used to run cones often. I hope you continue making more content like this. 🤙🏼

I got a capra as well about 2 months ago. So far the worst part is it does not have a drag brake. I still love it and I will love it more when I get a brushless motor into it. A little more speed for dirt and smoother control climbing. Love these video's....
@Ruckus_Crawler2 жыл бұрын
@@rccrawlingaddict207 right on. I totally agree, a Brushless set up is what I did almost right away lol. Absolutely love my Capra now. I have some pretty good trail run footage on my channel if you want to check it out

Just got my 4ws this week and love it. Only mods so far was TGH mild overdrive in the front portals 25%. 50wt oil and 3/4 on pen springs in the stock shocks. Tires are Proline Flat Irons (fair at best) with SSD steel wheels. The drag brake improved with the OD gears but I've ordered a Dynamite programmer. I want a brushed Holmes Hobbies motor but not sure what would be best. I saw smoke coming from the stocker today. I think I need an 11 tooth pinion next and extend it with some Jato endlinks.

You should look for sanwa mt4/MT4S for rear steering.. Wheel base of my capra is 36.5cm and trx4 Shocks and it helped a lot

I have been playing around with the idea of a capra, I do alot of trail driving, but also some steep hill, and rock climbing. Wonder if I can build a front axle dolly, so I can hook the capra on to the back of my trail rig, and tow it. And use tha capra as a "side mission" on the trails. With the dig unit in free-wheel, I only need to lift the front wheels up, and then it behaves like a trailer. Any thoughts?

Can you take apart the differentials and see how much Diff oil is in there? Possibly Live? It’s holding me back on buying it.
@HarleyDesignsInc3 жыл бұрын
The axles are locked, but if you mean grease on the gears then I opened them to change gears already. There was adequate grease on parts. I don’t think it’s something that should hold you back from buying it regardless though, you could run with no grease for a really long time even.

Hi, wet blanket here, wouldn't it be cheaper too buy the kit and build a 4WS from a kit instead of replacing the crap. Seems like you're wasting money. Well you do get that snazzy "I bought the RTR" red cage.

In his case he didn’t have to pay for the truck so you’re likely absolutely right for the average person building one.

The 4WS version has a different cage, but it could be cheaper maybe. But then I’d also have to paint it. I prefer this route 😂
@slashracer1113 жыл бұрын
The most cost effective way to buy the Capra is RTR with 4ws, if you plan on adding 4ws. It costs around $150-200 to add 4ws to the kit, so its actually more expensive. I've been looking. :)
@westdesertwheeler3 жыл бұрын
Grim, if you want a rear steer Capra. The 4WS is considerably cheaper to start with. It cost me over 200$ to convert to rear steer. The 4WS is a good value
