I love your channel very much, I think a good thing for Lexi to learn cantering on popcorn would be to take the stirrups off the saddle. Then she has nothing to bounce up out of and she can learn to move with popcorn instead of trying so hard to move against him. I don’t think she’s ready for bearback but that’s a great way to learn! Lexi, you are doing very well for the amount you ride. Keep it up!! xx🤍

Still can't believe Harlow got stick for riding cloudy when she was the right weight to ride him and didn't look big at all. Miss her adventures with him my son used to love watching her and cloudy he used to shout "go fast like cloudy" when he rode his Shetland 😂

i finally understand how to check my diagonal 😭 also one thing that really helped me get my canter is scooping, my instructor said it’s like scooping icecream 💀 but it does really help! love your vlogs harlow ❤

to help lexi with sitting to the canter, you could make her stirrups longer bc when you say put weight in her heels i think she thinks you mean it like stand in her stirrups and thats why she stands up when cantering. Also you could tell her to do a circle motion with her hips, like when the horses feet are on the ground and the horses back is going lower, tell her to start the bottom of her circle. Then when they lift up, thats the top of the circle, so just go around and around again so she is sitting deep in the saddle ykyk. Love your videos, hope this helps xx

Just a quick bit of advice xx when ur in trot being on the right “leg” is actually know as your “diagonal” xx u change ur diagonal by sitting for two beats and should be sitting when the outside foreleg is towards you and rising as it moves away (forward)from you (the trot has 2 beats) xx cantering on the right leg is when the horse strikes off with their outside hind(which u ask for as u put your outside leg back in the transition (from walk/trot to canter), followed by the diagonal pair and finally the inside foreleg reaches forward (3 beats) xx if u glance down u can see their foreleg on the inside reach further than the outer foreleg xx on the left rein you need a left canter lead where the left foreleg reaches forward n vice versa for the right xx both your diagonal and the correct lead in canter help you and the horse stay in balance xx hope this helps xx😘
