can you explain why the algal bloom causes oxygen depletion, when algae photothesizes more than the respiration during the night or the life of an entire world wont be possible, if energy production is less than the energy consumption.

Like the vid says, the blooms last for weeks to a few months (because by then, the algae already consumes all of the available nutrients), so we can just wait and it will disappear
