​@vitalepitts I think op was talking about how if Soggy was hired by a news outlet to work on this story, his flight and accommodations would be taken care of or reimbursed by the company he's working for. That way, Mr Beast has no stake or influence over the interviews. Unrelated rant, but stuff like this is why the average twXtter user screaming about "death to legacy media" is an idiot. They should instead be asking for reforms to journalism instead of tearing down the whole concept. Because at the very least, people working for news outlets are (in theory) held to a journalistic standard. Modern freelance journalism, or some asshole with a twitter or youtube account, can type up any shit they want, be bribed by any person who wants a story done a certain way and never have to print a retraction or correction when things are missreported or heavy bias is found. Don't get me wrong, this stuff also happens in modern journalism. What we have is not a perfect system, and we DESPERATELY need journalistic ethics and standards to be upheld by the law since most people who own media companies are corrupt as hell. But at least the rules exist and journalists for the most part need to follow those rules or else stories don't get printed or they can be fired. Both Dogshat and Saggy present a masterclass in why problems arise when standards are not upheld. Just because narcissists in power have spent years convincing the populace that every news outlet is as corrupt as they are, doesn't mean that the whole system needs to be torn down. We need less people like mamamax, or the dickheads at the frontline of the Mr Beast story. Poorly covering stories, shrugging their shoulders when things go wrong and going "whoops I was in over my head lol".

I'm sad that the take you give, "I don't know how this helps Dogpack," isn't more common. So many people are so caught up feeling lied to and angry over him not disclosing the flight that they seem to forget that half of the video is Soggy showing Dogpack deceptively editing clips to make things fit his narrative. Everyone will think what they will about the non disclosure issue. Personally I find it hilarious that we had one guy not disclose who fired him and then another, effectively, not disclose who, "hired," him in the same drama. I just don't get how that changes Dogpack deliberately manipulating videos and context to lie.

Harmful opinions didnt at all destroy Soggys video. Mr.Beast couldve paid Soggy to make the video and it still wouldnt have changed a thing. The lies of Dogpack were taken and pulled apart. Harmful opinions video was just an autistic look at whether or not Soggys travel and accommodation was paid for, this doesnt in the slightest take away from the main criticisms of Dogpack in the video. This is just people latching on to a small little thing just so they can justify disregarding the rest of Soggys points. its briandead

There's no way they would pay for a flight and agree to interviews if they didn't already know which side this guy was going to land on. That operation isn't a "guy and his friends" who make videos. It's a large(relatively)company with a lot of employees. They wouldn't risk the potential of having another negative viral video and on top of that having them pay for it to happen.
