i like how despite the title this is a pretty fun lil song. i think the implication is the title is literal; a superchat that miku has sent teto with the title being the message she sent her, maybe the one that gets her name called in the first verse. i kind of read it like its supposed to be in a self aware tongue-in-cheek sort of way. especially with how the description says the song is about healthy parasocial relationships. like miku's whole point is basically "hey, i definitely dont know you, and maybe this isnt the healthiest thing in the world, but you give me comfort anyways, so thank you". and i think its really sweet.

I feel like this song is an oddly positive parasocial relationship; like where miku knows and acknowledges the parasocial nature and her obsession with Teto, yet is the chillest unchllest fan ever. She'd ramble and infodump to you on discord for two hours about the stream you missed but at the same time doesn't get defensive if people dislike something about teto or just aren't interested in her. Tbh this is my first time listening to this song and I'm slightly baked rn but I find it oddly charming given I'm a fan of Caseoh and can somewhat relate to the concept lol. Anyways, immediately going in the silly playlist and several story playlists on Spotify and here.10/10.

Yess, thank you for the analysis! I was looking for a comment like this because I was confused by the song even though I vibe with it. I think it’s about Miku realising after seeing Teto react to her super chat how deep she really is into this parasocial relationship, and doesn’t want to be in this deep anymore. Yes she’ll still watch Teto’s streams, yes she’s still a fan, yes she’s still in admiration of her: but Miku has decided to take a step back, and just appreciate Teto as a fan. Thats why the distance line is there I think

@ I agree, I actually kinda interpreted those lines as in the feeling you kinda get when your streamer ends the livestream, be it intentionally or unintentionally. Sometimes it can be really funny, like when Caseoh on one of the first streams I watched doing jumping jacks that ended the streams, other times it can be frustrating, or sad, or just generally leaving you wanting more. The the phrase “give me more distance when I’m with you” as well as “I take more than I ever give you” are more so symbolic of knowing that Teto has done so much for them simply by streaming and yet probably has barely any clue who Miku is as a fan, and how that emotion is both a positive and a negative one. The line “a little closer yeah you give me the space I needed and left me there” also fits this similar theme, mainly in the sense of how many of us will stay up stupidly late just to watch the entire stream, and then be left in exhaustion once it’s over

I think this may be my favourite song from KZbin. It's the kind of song where the lyricism is so intriguing and makes me want more. The parasocial relationship being portrayed as mostly positive by the speaker yet negative by title, the singer both wanting the celebrity to hear them yet wanting to still keep the distance, the loneliness they feel that drove them to this figure and their content with being an island. This song has an inherent contradictoriness to it that so wonderfully captures the duality of human nature, how we both want things to change but find it easier to apply band-aid solutions that we insist to cling onto because its familiarity and routine is comforting in spite of its self-destructiveness. The speaker is implied to have has self-esteem issues, feeling what they can offer to a real relationship is not enough, and they chose a means of coping that allows them to live out this mindset, but at a safe distance that shields them from rejection or fallout. While this relationship might have been useful at first, since some social interaction is a step up from none, they've clung onto it for too long and their life has become static - drinking an unhealthy amount of energy drinks, staying up too late, staring at their screen too long day after day until they all blur into one.

I really love how positive the lyrics to this actually are!!! We hear so many negative things about parasocial relationships these days but like... at the end of the day, it's all about liking a person and finding happiness in them! :) Not all people get super jealous or invasive or hostile towards celebrity figures.
