I love devils club! I have a jar of the green inner bark from the root. I open it up and breathe deeply! Oh how I love the scent. I have walking sticks, pipes I hollowed out the pity. I have beads too ! There are huge patches on the mt. Up my road. I live on the Olympic Peninsula. I love your videos ill probably watch them all.

So much of what I learned from my Grandma comes back to me watching you, listening to you. So much so that I've decided to pursue Herbs! I'd love to visit when I go a-roaming next year, I was very much impressed with the garden.

You must be in the Pacific NW. I grew up in SE Alaska ... covered with devil's club. I was saved by devil's club ... fell out of a tree and my fall was broken by a thick patch of devil's club... I stuck on it like Velcro.😮🙂

when we harvest the plant we us thick gloves and scrapee off the thorns. No need to injury your hands. We take off thorns right where we harvest. I am 81 years old and just learning how our medicine is made and enjoy this so much. Never to old to learn. I prefer using our own pain medication for arthiritis and sore muscles. Love your show, you show so much respect for the forest. My favorite are the trees and plants so much medicine they provide Did not know we could use the roots, thank you for information.

thank you for teaching me about Devil's Club. I've been learning about it today because I harvested some from my sister's property and I'm trying to decide the ways I will be processing it. I didn't get any roots... still figuring out the property and I don't want to disturb things unnecessarily. Super excited I have this treasure!

One summer climbed up and through a giant wall of Devils Club on Baranoff Island, Alaska. All the plants were taller than me and very spiky. I took it slow and could gently push the stalks away from my face with the forearms of my jacket. After picking huckleberries and suddenly finding a fresh steaming brown bear "cowpie" with whole huckleberries still inside, I ran back very quickly down through the plants to my skiff and was fortunate they didn't really hurt me.

we need a larger community of truth speakers to help guide those who can't learn first hand what they should and shouldn't put in their body im drinking fresh root bark tea right now, with tons of stinging nettle and chug and wild reships, wish I had some reishi to throw in the mix. seriously people, try some of this stuff out, and I swear you will feel good. it alleviates anxiety and stress and makes all the bad things feel good, and makes you feel earthy and almost in touch with that primordial realm that the mycelium and all life comes from. This isn't just sentimental whimsical talk, im saying these plants are really potent and life changing and won't usually impair you from driving a car, but it might make you decide to walk barefoot through the grass instead of driving.

I have this growing down in the draw behind my house. That’s a place where I rarely go but the times that I’ve been down there, the whole area is pristine and smells primal, much different than up by my house. I typically don’t go down there in the fall. But this year because of your wonderful video, I’m going to have to give it a try and harvest one. Much gratitude! 🙏🙏🙏 Love and light, blessings and namaste. 💖☀️✨💫🌈🕉🙏

Wards away evil energy, humm! At 17 I went hunting with anew friend, We trompted around in the woods in the early morning dark . I started to slip and I grabbed onto a health devils club stock, My hand was all puffed up! Took hours to clean and soak. But i must have taken in enough poison to mightily protect me. I’m pretty good at warding off evil energy. Thank You for the information
