"THAT GIVES ME AN IDEA FOR AN EPISODE. WHAT IF HE TAKES A NAP IN HIS OFFICE?" That was an entire episode of Seinfeld.

That was definitely Seinfeld’s philosophy. Any little awkward interaction Larry David had over lunch turned into a 25 minutes of obsessive neurosis over that one specific thing. It’s just different, but it’s not for everyone, myself included.

I think I might be just lazy enough to be a writer. My recharge rate isn’t as impressive as his but I think I got a shot.

The adult swim part was pretty strange, almost painting them in a bad light kind of strange. Probably just ranting though, as he does so well :)

I mean, seriously. I remember the very first block of [as] when it aired. It looked like it was run by spaced out pot heads then, and it is most certainly run by spaced out pot heads now. And to be one of five people out of several thousand to actually have a great idea AND write it, yeah, I'd be happy about the dream job, full of self-loathing, and absolutely willing to talk shit about my pot head boss.
