I posted an ad in Craigslist and a lady delivered two ukes to me. She'd been carrying these around since 1960 and was ready to get rid of them!

Rich - I am a wood butcher - not a cabinet maker. I have "restored" four 1950s ukuleles so far. I discovered one had a crooked neck and was unplayable when I finished it. I was not happy. I sold it as planter box/boat paddle/wall-hanger/whatever. Where is the description/link so I can see the rest of your video. Fun stuff. Thanks. Rick

Sorry I didn't respond to this earlier. I guess I was scurrying around trying to find that other video. Rich

@@richdavis4007 I am basically computer illiterate. Still do not know how to find description/link on a KZbin video. Grandkids are not available. Can you help? Thank you. Rick.

Refurbishing one exactly like it can't wait tell I get all the stuff I need for it. Bought it from my friend for 10 bucks who go it from a retired music teacher. I am excited to start refurbishing it

I'm not seeing a link in the description Rich and now I'm left in suspense. Must have gotten itself lost coming across the ocean 🤔😊

My fault. There's not a link because the video was stolen. I'll look for the other part (or the original video) and will post if I find. Rich

Interesting Rich, I seem to have a memory of that headstock sticker?? Is the one you rescued when you went to someone's house to buy a guitar (or uke) and you brought that one home as well? Anyways, cool view at the beginning of the video, those cracks have disappeared, quite the transformation. Good job Rich, happy day.

When I follow the link in the description I am not able to find part 2. I would love to view the completion of this video, how could I find it? Thanks
@richdavis40072 жыл бұрын
My entire ukulele channel was stolen by people in Russia (over 2200 videos).This video I found and reposted. I thought it contained the complete project but maybe it doesn't. I have the ukulele and could post a video of it reclaimed, if you like. I'm not a ukulele or guitar tech and my work was amateur quality. Still, the ukulele looks and plays pretty nicely now, whereas before it was quite beat up. 😊😊

I will play a song and post. Off hand, I'd say not to go with these old ukes when new ones are better and so cheap. Rich
