As far as I know.... Everyone have to do their own makeup in beauty pageants like Miss World and miss universe and others....I have seen in news somewhere that in a pageant (which pageant I don't remember I think Ms USA) after becoming the winner it was revealed that the participate didn't do her own makeup... So paegent authority took her crown and the 1st runner up become the winner...

Dude as an artist even I like to do make up in artistic way to represent myself newly plus sometimes it is demand of environment so you have to adjust accordingly . Changes happen slowly and make up has nothing to do with confidence ....to feel comfortable in your own skin need more confidence .
