I stayed at Woodward west back in 04 05 and 06. I road tripped by myself from Sacramento each time and stayed for a week 0:19 0:19 all three times. Some of the funnest freest memories I have being able to do what you love every day. Always enjoy seeing riding videos of this place. I had a goal all three visits to 360 the 6ft spine in the big bowl in the warehouse, the last night on Friday night “I was over 18 so I could ride from 10-12” I went for it 3 times and on the 3rd attempt I tried to stick it but I wasn’t nose dived enough, and riding brakless I looped out, and my leg got twisted bad, I spiral broke my fibula and tore ligaments. It was life changing but I was proud of myself for going for my goal. I drove back home the next morning all the way to Sacramento, went to the doc and had to have surgery. 6 screws and a metal plate.

I took a slam on my bike last night (pretty gnarly) but I took what I learned about pat on unclicked and got up and dusted myself off and said I am blessed to ride BMX, falls and all. So much respect for our BMX family!

Man it's so fun to watch people who are amazing at riding and go huge like that on trails. When I rode everything needed to be split second because I was like 2' off the ground half the time instead of having the time to slowly stretch out a no-hander or float a super slow 360.
