Rest in Peace Harold Budd (1936-2020) Thanks for you beautiful sounds

I love that Harold has the keyboard set up on two chairs, improvisation par excellence, and what a setting. And yes, we all loved and miss him.

R.I.P Harold Budd (1936-2020) 😪Thanks for you beautiful sounds

I love Harold Budd, I discovered his music through one of my favorite KZbin channels (shout out to Distant Mirrors!), just before I broke up with my previous girlfriend three years ago, and his music has been an endless source of company and comfort. I recently found out about Clive Wright as well, and i fell in love with his guitar ambience. The trilogy of albums produced by these two men is just beautiful. Really great music reflexion and deep personal enjoyment.

This is great. Whoever filmed it did such a good job too. It rare to come by videos or live performances by Budd. So nice to see Clive too. It would be great if these two did a series of taped live performances. Quite nice!

One of their collaboration albums, I think Candylion, has a live track.

I understand why Harold got rid of his piano. It must be nice to not have a large percussion instrument hogging your cool desert home. When all is said and done, put that instrument away. Minimalism still has a beautiful place. Thanks Clive for sharing this piece. If only Harold would stay around 50 more years, we could maybe see him live in America? Alas, it takes Europe audiences to foster artists like Budd since our country seldom celebrates its own until its a bit late. Thanks Eno for bringing Harold to the public consciousness.

Such a glorious combination. It ebbs and flows like water and the spaces in between the notes are just as important as the notes themselves. Thank you both! :)

First I've seen this! It took me 5 years. I'm working on a series of poems that are inspired by the catalogue of Budd's piano music.

I love how Harold doesn't even own a stand for his keyboard. Just plunks it down on two chairs with two of his own shirts underneath so the chairs don't get scratched. Awesome!

Don't like the guitar ..too overpowering.. horrible processed chorus sound. Nice to see Harold though. Wright doesn't seem to know when not to play, ridiculous rack of pedals and effects. I found it tedious to the extreme ...sorry if you do not agree, just my personal opinion.
