On most points, Harold made alot of senses, however He seems to forget that the Christian religion has also spilled the blood of millions of innocents. The Popes, the "Christian" kings who burned Jews and killed them for centuries did just as bad as the communists. Foxe's book of martyrs tells of the horrors of "Christian " Europe. Almost all American denominations supported and encouraged slavery. The Klan always promoted their organisation as a "Christian " movement. Wasn't the Spanish inquisition carried out by the "Christian " church? The most questionable assertion of Mr Harold is the notion that the Romans didn't practice compassion until the advent of Christianity. Perhaps Mr Harold doesn't know that the Romans were heavily influenced by Greek philosophy. The Stoics ( of whom the Romans were best disciples), promoted compassion and kindness as one of the cardinal virtues. Again, Mr Harold made some good points overall.

The "Christians" that you speak of that spilled the blood of millions and were behind the inquisitions and all the torture were the Roman Catholics. Not biblical Christians. These Catholics were killing Christians who believe like I do and fundamentalist bible-believing Christians do. They are some of the biggest enemies of true Christianity throughout history on the face of the Earth. Their religion is full of errors and they have never repented in their hierarchy to this day.
