Rabbi Harold Kushner is Rabbi Laureate of Temple Israel in the Boston suburb of Natick, Massachusetts. In 1981, his book, "When Bad Things Happen to Good People," became an international bestseller. It was translated into 14 languages and was named by the Book of the Month Club as one of the 10 most influential books of recent years. He followed that success with several more books, including "Who Needs God" and "When All You've Ever Wanted Isn't Enough," firmly establishing himself as one of our most important writers on religion.
