Just like many others this takes me back to an early Friday evenings in the U.K. after school. In the mid-1980’s with a chippy tea this was great telly. Made me laugh then and it still does now. Thanks for sharing. 😊

I wish I had been born in the 1930s or even born earlier instead of getting born, in the late 1960s and also Harold Lloyd is awesome and he was born in the 1890s the 19th century I wish in millions of ways I had been born in the 19th Century.

We really do ourselves a disservice when we assume that earlier people were less sophisticated.

I was born some years after Bob Monkhouse's Mad Movies series - but, yes, like so many others here I had this programmes re-runs in the 1980s plus Make 'Em Laugh presented by Mark Curry (whatever happened to that series?)

Yep, the Mark Curry series was probably the last one of its kind. Shame. You'd think with more channels nowadays we'd have more choice!

@@DaveGlass And like the best series' surprisingly few appear to have been made (I'm sure I sometimes got it mixed up with Screen Test as well). Just for fun I looked up to see if any of the episodes were lost, and found a list of 12 shows (6 from April to May 1982, 6 from June to July '84) all present, in existence and very correct. I presume the series is in copyright limbo because of the featured material. About choice...yes, indeed, there was more choice on Channel 4 in that way all those years ago!
