What she does outside of school has nothing to do with the program, she had to pay and follow the punishment that the law required her to. Volleyball has nothing to do with it. She wasn’t on campus. Y’all only saying this cuz she’s an athlete. People who get a dui without hurting anyone don’t lose their job, Nether should she.

She was not just let off on these charges with no consequence. She paid a fine, had to complete 9 months of community service, the Nebraska program required her to work at volleyball camps all summer, she was benched for the Spring match, she was removed from the U21 US National team. Not to mention she probably has other requirements behind the scenes that we don't know about, such as mandatory therapy sessions, 1 on 1 with her coach and team captains many times a week, etc. She was not just let off lmao. And this is natural for DUIs, by the way. There is rarely jail time on the first offense unless someone is injured, it is almost always a fine and community service punishment. So I don't understand this comment. Your holding these standards over her head because she's an athlete for a top program. People make mistakes, and often grow from them. And she is doing just that.

7 year old Ivory Giselle Smith killed by a drunk driver this week. Hard to feel sorry for for Harper. That could have been her as the driver. But sadly those who haven't lost someone to DUI will brush it off and continue to praise her while she has not once shown any public remorse nor apologized. And in the months after her incidents, treated the situation as a joke.
