Model Sora Choi's 'not so busy day' consists of attending two fashion shows, one photoshoot, and a fitting- all while filming her Day In The Life for Harper's BAZAAR. Spending the day working in New York City, Sora takes us through what it's like to be a fashion model during New York Fashion Week. Sora works hard but also likes to have fun by hanging out with friends, doing TikTok dances, and taking time in-between jobs to nap. Follow along to meet some of Sora's friends, see which brands she's booked, and her true feelings about snow.

Y’all sora is not naturally thin thin. In a interview she said she didn’t eat for 4 weeks. Usually she doesn’t eat before her shows. And she said how every complimented her like “Sora ur so beautiful” while she was dying inside and she knew something was wrong. Like even a simple tap on her shoulder felt like a bruise. I’m not telling this to expose her, these r things she revealed herself. And ppl gotta know the reality. I love sora choi she is my fave model. It’s that the modeling industry still wants very thin ppl so in order to survive she does this.

She is okay now, though perhaps in the eyes of other people she's still very thin but she eat a lot now, compared to her early days. I'm not saying that being as thin as Sora is ok because she's clearly underweight but at least she didn't starve herself anymore. 😔

I mean obviously she received major backlash about perpetuating such ideas of starving herself, so she essentially HAD to gain a bit and come out saying she eats better now. For her career and reputation. But what goes behind closed doors, well we can only speculate.

Yup! In fact, Sora defeated one of the "greatest" odds in the modeling Industry, and that was to become famous/popular after a modeling tv show. Till this day, she's the only person to make a name out of herself from any of the ANTM shows, which is known for destroying careers.

She is the model I've been waiting for Vogue to feature, I literally clicked this video after seeing her. Thanks to Harper's Bazaar for featuring such a talent. I've been curious to know how she speaks or if she's even friendly because she mostly shows her killer face. She is the most successful model from the NTM franchise and she also deserves more recognition as a Korean model like Hoyeon who's from the same show as well. I hope someday she'll have a "supermodel" title because she definitely deserved it

I could never do this. There must be so much pressure on them to stay looking a certain way. The stress of going place to place hoping there’s no traffic. The upkeep of their bodies and clothing. I do hope she can give up smoking. It’s great for suppressing appetite and reducing stress, but it’s so bad for your health and skin. She’s beautiful. I’d hate to see cigarettes ruin her blooming career. I’m not telling her what to do, I’m just hoping for the best. I know I couldn’t do what she does.

sora posted years ago that she used to starve herself for weeks during fashion week just to stay in shape😢 she would just drink water and would only eat a small piece of a banana if she's really hungry. she also said that she would faint due to weakness and red spots would randomly appear all over her body. she said she stopped doing it now but the damage to her body has been done😔

@@SuperToocool4skool Are you familiar with the industry? It's known for starving women and having unhealthy weight requirements. The "plus size" movement is really just natural sized women. The average size in America is a 14. The plus size models start around size 8. To think an 8 is plus size, is scary. These women do whatever they can to maintain their figures. There aren't many people who are naturally that thin. Listen to any documentary, interview, or model show and you'll see and hear how tough that life is. They don't have time to eat, sure. But they don't want to eat. They can't because the clothes won't fit. I used to smoke and know it's a natural appetite suppressant. It's like an energy/suppressant stick to get through the hour. I'd be shocked if they were all naturally that thin. It's sad. I couldn't do that job.

There is such a strong culture of smoking in the modeling industry, with many stylists ignoring smoking laws because they consider themselves above it, and models using the smoking break as an excuse to take a moment for themselves. At every backstage during fashion week, you are going to find a rotating group of models puffing away.

For some ridicoulous reason i thought a model's life (specially super models) was super simple and glamorous, consisting of only travels and a shoot maybe once a day. This video kind of opened my eyes that all jobs require sacrifices and a lot of effort.
