Thank You! These ditches in Dora I think would have been better to fish in the BASS Team Championship. I chose to stay in Harris though because of the cold front sweeping in and I with Dora being shallower, I wasn't sure how that would effect those fish. Then also my boat only has a 25 gallon gas tank so the idling through dead river and Dora canal I wasn't sure if I'd have ever fuel. I really felt these ditches in Dora though had better quality.

Great Video! I have heard the term fishing ditches but wasn't clear what they was referring to. This video and explanation of how you break everything down, it really helped me understand what to look for. I also really enjoyed how you showed your waypoint markings in the video, this is something I haven't seen in any other videos! outstanding work!

Thank You. I truly appreciate you watching the video and pleased to hear it helped you understand ditches better. I started hearing guys talking about ditches a couple years ago now. I got my butt kicked in a BFL on table rock and the guy that won said he was fishing ditches. I started researching and couldn't find much information on exactly what a ditch was. I fished a team tournament on Stockton shortly after and seen some birds in the middle of a cove. These specific birds actually eat bass, so that triggered me to go out into the middle of this cove. It was about 100-150yards from any bank and once I got out there I started seeing bass on my FFS. We ended up catching a limit quickly and I marked every fish we caught on the gps. When I got home I studied this area on navionics to see if this was a ditch where we was catching them. Sure enough it was a ditch and ever since I've been studying more ditches and finding out what makes each ditch better than the other. I made a video just over a year ago about what a ditch is and how to fish it. I did it because of the low amount of content out there explaining exactly what a ditch is. It started off pretty slow but had 700 views in November and positive feedback. Then in November it went Viral "well for my channels standards anyway." It's got over 4k views now and is great to see it's helping Anglers out!

Thank You. It's truly great to hear the positive feedback! Let me know if this video helps you catch bass in ditches in the future. I feel ditches are a strength of mine and want to spread that knowledge. I fish them here in the Midwest and wasn't sure how it would work out in Florida on the Harris Chain. I had a plan to go down there and give it a shot. I studied the maps of Harris for countless hours. My biggest problem was on these natural shallower lakes in Florida, is the ditches are not as defined as the deeper highland lakes we have in the Midwest. So it was very difficult not only to find the ditches but to have the confidence they would produce going 20hrs away to a body of water id never seen. To make things worse there wasn't anything I could find about fishing ditches online for the Harris Chain. The results came back great coming in 28th out of 248 teams. Was shooting for a top 3 but that's very difficult to do in a tournament that size especially with all the others who had local knowledge and prior knowledge. 28th I was more than pleased with though top 11% isn't anything to be upset about. Sorry for the lengthy comment, just love talking fishing! Tight lines and good luck!

Appreciate it! They should be moving out in them ditches if the weather starts cooling off. Check out the other two videos on ditches from me down there on the Harris chain too. I wish I was back in Florida next week for the team championship but this year it's on Kentucky lake next week!

I've only fished it in just once. Fished a lot on Conway and Toho and a little on John's lake when I was in school in Orlando 17 years ago. Everywhere I've fished in Florida I've had good success and absolutely love fishing in Florida. I always look forward to fishing down there. Harris Chain definitely ranks as one of the top fisheries in Florida for me!

@@levisnow88 any johns lake tips? Currently the ramp is closed but when it opens I need to get back out there again

I have been to johns lake in 2008 though was the time I fished it. My PB was actually caught from John's Lake. I've only fished it twice though

Secrets out on Dora lol. It's always a small decent bag if ya find em early. Eustis holds the bigguns. Apopka can put out a 30 pound sack maybe 50 this year.

@@jeffreyrodgers5835 when we fished down there eustis was actually the worst lake of the chain in the Bassmaster Team Championship. Carlton is actually where it was won. Apopka has picked up a lot and Harris is on the decline hopefully the bite comes back there and they quit killing grass 😡
