As Harris County is in the midst of hurricane season, it’s more important than ever to make sure we’re all prepared for any storms that Mother Nature might throw our way. Hurricanes can bring a mix of hazards, like storm surges, inland flooding, tornadoes, strong winds, rip currents, and large waves. These impacts are not just specific to our coastal area - they can reach far inland too. So, having a plan, knowing what to do, and understanding how to report and recover from any damage are key.
