Is he reading without tajweed and generally what is the difference between tajweed recitation and how Harris is reciting? I'm quite new to this stuff so apologies if it seems a bit daft

@@harrisdanyaal No worries. Harris's Maqam (melody) is good, but his tajweed at times can be inconsistent. For example, sometimes Harris is inconsistent with the madds (the letters that need to be stretched). For some of them he overstretches it by a couple seconds, and for others he may not stretch them at all. The same can be said for his ghunnas, ikhfas, and idghaam. Sometimes he does it correctly and other times he ignores it completely. I could go on and on about how he mispronounces some letters, for example the Ha, which comes from the chest, but I feel that would make me come off as rude. I'm not trying to downplay his recitation, rather I would like to let people know that his recitation, which has immense potential, can be improved greatly if he is taught properly. Harris could become one of the best of the Quraa from our generation.

Hariss my brother I am a night worker aged 42. And watched a few videos during my shift today . I wish Allah gave me the opportunity they have given you .
