As someone who can’t walk and chew gum at the same time, I find Kevin beyond impressive. They are all so very talented and truly have elevated a capella to the highest art form. They all know who and when to shine in any given piece of music. I would love to hear you react to RunTo You (an original, with Avi) and Come Along. Kevin invented Cello boxing, music professors are now studying this in videos of them. That’s actually how the trio found Kevin, from a KZbin video that hit almost a million views in (2011 which is really significant) and they reached out to him and asked them to join the group and tryout for The Sing Off, an a cappella TV competition. He was pre med at Yale. They found Avi through a mutual friend. Crazy how far they’ve come from that.

Looks like you haven't done Imagine or Amazing Grace yet....those are other big ones. Also, consider checking out some of their originals! For really upbeat orginals try Sing and Coffee in Bed. For a really hauntingly beautiful one try Run to You. For a great LIVE experience try their 2016 Popspring concert, which has 4 songs: the Evolution of Michael Jackson plus three originals (Cracked, Can't Sleep Love, and Water). It was recorded by MTV, so the quality is excellent!

Every once in a while Kevin will play his Cello in a song and it just makes it better. He also beatboxes at the same time while playing the Cello which is mind-blowing, the term Cello-boxing was created after Kevin, who is a master Cellist. He plays in their cover of "Radioactive" which is killer.

Yes, if you are an Imagine Dragons fan or Lindsey Stirling fan, you must see her collaboration with PTX of Radioactive. They absolutely kill it! It won Lindsey a KZbin music award in 2014. Occasionally, Kevin plays his cello (named Beyonce) in PTX videos, but not often. They have done at least three videos with Lindsey, as well as a Wizard of Oz spoof, named Wizard of Ahhhs, with Todrick Hall. If you haven't seen that one, you absolutely must watch it.

Great reaction. Many Pentaholics say that PTX doesn’t do covers, they do upgrades. I like this version better than the original cause I feel more passion in their voices. In case you’re not aware, Scott found Kevin on You Tube featuring cello beatboxing and the performance had more than 900,000 views. Kev was premed at Yale before joining PTX. They are all so freakishly talented, God given. 💕

Subbed to join you in the Rabbit Hole that is PTX, you are in f or a wild ride. ANYTHING they do is phenomenal, choose anything from their catelog of over 200 songs and you can't go wrong. I haven't yet found something they have done that I haven't liked! If you want to see wh at they can do live, I would suggest 'Aha' from Singapore Star Vista, check out the official video for it as well. Come Along is so upbeat and poppy, for something a bit more somber t ry their 'Say Something' or 'Mad World', or 'Need A Little Space'.

It's not too terribly often, but sometimes they bring Kevin in on his Cello. They do so just to add a "supportive element" . . . They could drop the Cello and still hold the entire song on their own 5 voices/beatboxing. You will see "Beyonce" (the Cello's name) show up here and there, but never in a FULL role. . . simply an extra added element added for fun.
