My mother, just like a clock, every Saturday morning 8am, when I was kid she would put this song on full blast. This was my cue to come down stairs and help her clean the house. Sometimes she had these reed hats we would wear why doing it. She then segue into the battle of new Orleans song. She kept it hopping...precious memories.

I am now 75. Harry Belanfonte was my entire childhood. I'll never forget Island in the Sun. Thirty years later, my daughter discovered it and listened to it until the single had a hole in it. She especially listened to Coconut Woman. Both have remained unforgettable. It was a long time later that I understood that Bellafonte was much more than a singer composer. He was an activist, perhaps even a philosopher. Thanks for all, Harry.
