His pen seems more like music for musicians or poetry for poets. No doubt that his high level skill is to just freestyle in front of people and be like "yep...no overall plan. Just music. Peace" The written word is a bit different than the words spat out in perfect time slices. Many can do that, very few get piles of money or fame for that, and tbh...much of it is a function of who has the keys to the gates. Or enough money to make gates irrelevant.

Jazz musicians often function like that: they can create a song out of thin air and collab with anyone on the planet...yet once they sit down with a blank piece of paper thet have to learn an entirely new skillset.

Synthetic enviroments created by those so called by some "rappers" are nothing more than a market-pushed-crap. Music taste is subjective as so many things. But imo Harry is bigger than corpo craps, that have no substance in verses. And his time was and always will be. Everyone has "time" to live. Harry is lovely human being creating wonderful things. So his time is rollin constantly. Maybe one day Eminem's time will come to be as good as Harry... but I don't think so. ;)

The actual reason Harry won't be as big is not a skill issue but a content issue. Harry is a positive rapper. rap culture unfortunately is about guns, violence, beef, sex and women and all kinds of vile stuff you can imagine. I personally don't know any rapper who is an A list celeb who is has not sung about violence, guns, jail and stuff of that like. The only rapper that comes to head is NF and he's doing alright but he's not on em and the likes level. Positivity won't take you far in the rap game unfortunately.

It's safe to say every rapper in the industry has respect for harry because his freestyling is better than what most can do when they write. Harry, you have a talent that all these industry rappers wish they had. I have produced and mixed lots of hiphop/rap vocals and I can tell when the rapper is reading their lyrics while recording the song or if they have it memorized or freestyle. Harry, you do not need to prove anything to anyone. Freestyling in the recording booth always makes the flow of words much smoother. You don't need to write your songs beforehand because you have a skill that transcends the need to write. Do what you do best and not what everyone says you should do. Most these rappers are envious of you so they try to throw shade at you by saying you can't write so you aren't a real artist. The truth is they are mad that you can freestyle better lyrics off the dome than they will ever be able to write. Don't let their envy slow you down from being the best version of yourself.
