The story is he never even listened to this beat all the way through. The notes said there was a beat switch at x:xx so he listened to that part once and then he caught the switch perfectly in the freestyle

@@Benholio1 I’m not taking away from Harry’s genius, but Harry’s seasoned enough of a musician to hear the beat dip down before the change, followed by one measure with hits on the quarter notes. I barely know what I’m talking about and Harry is a jazz drummer. With his memory, “4 hits after the slowdown” is all he needed to remember. I promise you I mean no negativity! I notice this gets pointed out along with how well he syncs up with Marcus Veltri when that stuff is likely the easiest things he will do in the entire freestyle. Have a wonderful day!

@@StanZbornak I get your point, and I'm no expert on how easy or hard any single aspect of Harry's performance is, but it's the level of complexity he brings through hitting that switch up. In isolation, it very well might be a walk in the park for him, but the amount of things he brought together to frame that perfect moment, both before and after, is what gets me. It's just not something you can even remotely count on happening. Even he was just banking on the hope that it could even conceivably work out, and you can see his smile break through as he becomes certain he hit it flawlessly.

Not sure if anyone's mentioned it yet, but Harry's background is in jazz drumming. That, combined with his extensive knowledge of hip hop, gives him the amazing rhythm, timing and flow changes he manages to pull off. You'd probably like Amen Brother where he freestyles over classic drum beats (that he also plays) that have been used in hip hop over the years..

OMG - this is hands down the best ever reaction to HM. I have seen many of them but your analysis is so on the spot. That is how many of us fans here feel about him. What is also almost scary is, that his first Omegle Bars are absolutely dope already but he still constantly improved to a level that probably never anyone in the world would have expected because it's not realistic. I assume "Home girl with the fan" is a favorite, but I'm recently subscribed so this has been my introduction to her. Really cute and solid (no fat on those animation frames). I was quickly pausing a lot to get the most out of my first encounter with her. I like the detail of the towel (?) actually casting a shadow on her face and arms. Gives it a dynamic punch that works when played at normal speed that people might not realize. 🙂 The comments already nail any Mack inflections on this particular episode, but I wanted to drop a comment myself, so...
