Richard Harris was perfect as Dumbledor for the first 2 movies and Michael Gambon was just as perfect to step into the role for the rest of the movies as they got darker.

I was crushed to hear about Richard Harris' passsing, because, for me, he embodied Albus Dumbledore to perfection. I really wanted Jim Dale to take over as the voice since I confused both of them during the Sorcerer's Stone previews, their voices were nearly identical. Michael did good, but Jim/Richard will always be the Headmaster of Hogwarts; just as Rickman and Coltraine will forever be Professor Snape and Giant Hagrid, in my eyes. God rest their souls.

😭😭😭😭 I teared up as you listed these actors off. Especially Richard Harris and Robbie Coltrane. My parents knew them from their older works, but my sister and I were introduced to them in these landmark movie series. My Dad may have known Coltrane as one of the robbers in Nuns on the Run, but I will ALWAYS know him as the big-hearted (literally) Rubeus Hagrid. Thank you for releasing this video. HP is my favourite movie series ever, even beating out Star Wars, and every one of these actors made the stories some of the most powerful in cinema history

*Robbie Coltrane's* passing hit me the hardest, and it's hard to believe it's been almost a year since his death. 😓🌂 He embodied the role of Rubeus Hagrid trumendously, similar to that of the entire cast. It's heartbreaking to realize that more and more cast members of these movies that I grew up with are sadly leaving this world. 😓 R.I.P to all these actors and actresses.

It is a shame that Robert Knox was not mentioned. 18 year old Knox was stabbed to death in May 2008. He intervened in a fight to protect his 17 year old brother Jamie, who was being threatened by a man armed with 2 kitchen knives. Now, here's an example of love.

I have grown up with all seven Harry Potter movies and all of these great actors have been part of my childhood and have a very special place in my heart I will miss them very much especially my favorites Alan Rickman as Severus Snape, Richard Harris the first Albus Dumbledore and most recently Sir Michael Gambon who took over the role for the final five movies and my all time favorite character Rubeus Hagrid played by the great Robbie Coltrane Hogwarts will forever be empty without them but they will always be with us in our hearts ❤️😢🪄🧙‍♂️

I think each one of the series actors passings has hit me in different ways. Most especially Alan Rickman, Robbie Coltrane and Michael Gambon. Those 3 embodied their roles so well that I get emotional everytime I remember they're no longer with us. Thanks to my mum and grandparents, i had the privilege of seeing some of there better roles in movies and TV but the death that hits me most is McCrory's death. She fought so bloody hard but the cancer won in the end leaving her two young children motherless.

Robbie Coltrane reminded me so much of my late grandfather. When my grandfather passed away, I turned to watching Harry Potter for comfort. Seeing Hagrid on screen always made me smile. When I found out Robbie had passed away, I started breaking down crying because it was like losing my grandfather all over again. It still hurts me, but I love watching Hagrid scenes to make me smile.

Well, funny story about that- Matthew Lewis really was intimidated by Alan Rickman and Rickman scared Lewis on a few occasions. Speaking of Robbie Coltrane, when he and Dame Angela Lansbury died in October 2022, I practically accused Microsoft Edge of disrespecting the Wikipedia Necrologies. And I've been checking up on Wikipedia since 2014. I have a new laptop from the ASUS brand, and it has been malfunctioning since I bought it. As such, 2022 was an absolute roller coaster ride, as celebrity deaths like American actor William Hurt ended up erased from my memory, and my parents had trouble honoring Sesame Street actor Emilio Delgado.
