In the movie the first spell Bellatrix used is also green, yet Molly blocked it. Avada Kedavra is said to be unblockable but Molly blocked it so I think it is a different spell.

No combat training? Why do you assume that she has no combat training? All students at Hogwarts have combat training in Duel and throught the DADA classes. She was a Head Girl when she was a student at Hogwarts and that means she is strong. She came from the Prewett family that is famous for having exceptional strong witches and wizards. She is a member of the Order. Of course, she had combat training. You think Dumbledore would let someone that cannot fight become a member if the Order? Just because she is a housewife doesn't mean she isn't a strong witch. The author, Rowling, stated that Molly is a powerful witch. She just chose to be a housewife. If you watched Fullmetal Alchemist, one of the strongest characters is a housewife who is way stronger than the military officers.

@@swhedha That is wrong. Did you read the book? In the book, Bellatrix wasn't serious at first but then she realized how powerful Molly is, dropped her smile and unleashed her full strenght. It was described in the book that they are so strong and the battle is so fiece that the ground underneath them became hot and cracked. The movie did a poor job showing how strong Molly is.

Realistically, Bellatrix should've been the one to kill Molly. I love Molly but, Molly hadn't fought in a battle for many years prior to the battle of Hogwarts, her and Arthur didn't even join the 1st wizarding war. Her skills up to this point would've been rusty and not even comparable to Bellatrix's skills.

Most definitely wasnt petrificus totalus. In the movie you could actually see her getting dehydrated. Im sure it was some kind of a spell only used for household normally, but Molly used it on her because you can actually see her constantly using these kind of spells at the wesleys home. Thats what shes best at. People also dont understand why molly won, 1st Bellatrix was too sure that Molly doesnt have a chance and didnt expect Molly to be that powerful. Actually she was married a wesley, but she is part of a family of pure blood wizards, namely the prewett-family. Also her sister and brother were part of the original order of the phoenix, basically shes one of the most powerful wizards hogwards has ever seen.
