This song is incredible and all but.....I'm kinda weirded out that Hogwarts is paying homage to the three witches that screwed over Macbeth. Were they former students or something?
@ABanimationLtd7 жыл бұрын
They could actually be former students, according to the Harry Potter wiki, Hogwarts was founded in 993, and the real-life Macbeth died in 1057, so it checks out...

@@dillonvoisin349 Not to be that guy, so please excuse me, but I think your mixing up the plays. The three witches come from the play Macbeth which is set in Scotland (See the settings and names of characters in the play), and Denmark is the setting for Hamlet and does not feature any witches in the play. I'm sorry if I came across as a nitpicky know-it-all.

@joarahlbom29239 жыл бұрын
+sefirosu666 There's no such thing as a "British dialect".
@sefirosu6669 жыл бұрын
+Joar Ahlbom Okay, which word are you having more offense against? "British" or "dialect"? I could say "English accent" if that tickles your fancy. I'm just saying in that region, the word is spelled and pronounced "howlet".
@joarahlbom29239 жыл бұрын
Oh, I'm not offended at all, my gaze merely happened to land on your comment, specifically on the "British accent" part of it, and I figured I'd just comment on that in case anyone was unaware of that wee little piece of information. After all, English comes from England - Not America. If anyone's got a dialect, that would be the Americans. You're entirely right about the word "howlet" though! Cheerio!
@pi31416ish9 жыл бұрын
+Joar Ahlbom the biggest problem with "a British dialect" is the implication that there's only one. There are, at the last census, about a zillion. Cardiff Britons don't have the same dialect / accent as Glasgow Britons, or London Britons, or Liverpool Britons, or Newcastle Britons, or dozens of others. In fact they have a pretty hard time understanding each other.
@joarahlbom29239 жыл бұрын
pi314159 That's also very true! However I assuome by "British dialect" the posh London accent is the one referred to.
