I had so much help from you guys, even if everything I've gone to you guys to build hasn't even been started yet. It's good that I found you guys though, because I now have more than one reason for your How-To's: 1) I'll look cool and have cool stuff, and 2) I'm getting into a videography class at my school. From the people at Evil Penguin Entertainment, we will miss you.

I always thought zack was a bad choice for this show. He had too many other projects going on, couldn't commit to this, and took film making very serious. I mean just look at his test films, a lot of them were several minute genre films. Not a bad filmmaker, but the wrong choice for this show. Obviously.. He killed a year later.

With all due respect, but nobody is going to use fiberglass for this. Everyone's going to buy a plastic one, cut it out with small knifes and scissors, add paint-effects so it looks like metal and done. Not heavy, not expensive, not much work, looks about the same.

@magic101able Eric, the original host and overlord of Indy Mogul, is doing a new project where he funds up-and-coming film makers to finish their productions. They posted a short segment about this several days ago. Zack is going to be doing his own FX show with Ralis. I imagine a lot of people are going to be subscribing to his Wayside Productions channel because of this.

I have so many questions about this as I am a total noob. 1) What are some other names for Ceramic Clay in the UK... unable to find any. Are we just talking normal clay for making pottery with? 2) When the Crystal Clear is applied, you wait for that to dry... not the clay, right? 3) When the paste finishing wax is applied twice and buffed... what was it buffed with? Really want to have a go at making some fibreglass masks, they look amazing!
@s8nsch1ld11 жыл бұрын
bill ballsack Hi, I assume you were answering my other question about the show they talk about in this. After a few hours I found it. It is the throat slit video. If you were just saying that they wont answer my questions, I know, but I am hopeful that someone will come here who can answer my questions. Thanks
@s8nsch1ld11 жыл бұрын
OK, I think I can answer my own questions now. 1) What are some other names for Ceramic Clay in the UK... unable to find any. Are we just talking normal clay for making pottery with? Pretty sure I am right about this, but not 100%... Kiln Fired White Clay. Or if you can find it Porcelain Clay. I don't think it matter too much. If you can work it into the mask shape and it is not air dry, you should be OK. 2) When the Crystal Clear is applied, you wait for that to dry... not the clay, right? You wait for the Crystal Clear to dry. The clay should not die out as you need to scoop it out after the mould is set. 3) When the paste finishing wax is applied twice and buffed... what was it buffed with? You see Ralis buffing it out with the rag. This is used to stop the resin/ fibreglass from sticking to the mould. 2 coats buffed then a layer of unbuffed. Still more questions, but I am just about ready to start my project. I will post my findings back here.
