Loved the video! My family won't let me do a themed tree like this, but one day... :) Also, your cat is a big mood. I want to be that relaxed. :3

😂I was going to add a little snippet of video at the end. Kraken had been running around like crazy before I asked her to stop, so she did. And she just sat there the whole time I filmed. Then in the video I turn to her and say, ok, you can run now, and she does 😂

Your tree looks so cool, Bryton! I'm obsessed with all those tree ribbons. Glad to see you back, Bryton :)

Thanks, and thanks for the little reminder that I was forgetting to post on KZbin! I seemed to blink and find that November had been and gone 🙈

@@BrytonTaylor No problem :) I always look forward to your content and I felt like I haven't received a notification for your channel at all since halloween. Excited for the Christmas content!

@@BrytonTaylor also, I know this has nothing to do with the video but I'd like to ask you a craft question, if you don't mind. I'm making prosthetics for sea creatures for a production I'm working on, specifically fins. What would be an affordable craft diy that can also withstand being underwater?
@BrytonTaylor4 жыл бұрын
My first thought would be something plastic. Either reusing what anyone has in their recycling bin- bubblewrap from packaging, or plastic bags, metal wire for shape. You would just need clear duct tape to hold it together- I know tape can create amazing things. Second thought- cheap yoga mats? You could get them in a variety of colours, it'll hold up with water, there's usually a good length to them and I'm sure there's a paint that would hold up... The third thought would be silicone (a tube is about $7), the type you buy at the hardware store, and use a caulking gun to 'draw' an outline with the silicone and fill it in. I use a mix of baking paper/cling wrap/ petroleum jelly to keep it from sticking to whatever I'm using (I tend to use this for creating molds of items). But depends on its use, how many you need to make, how easy the shape is, and how realistic you're going for.

@@BrytonTaylor Thank you for this! I'm really liking the idea for using wire for shape and using silicone from the hardware. All the tutorials I've been seeing is to use liquid latex which is so overpriced where I'm at! Will update how it goes :)

Never thought of Elmer's glue and paint. It gave a nice smooth finish.
@BrytonTaylor4 жыл бұрын
It really does. I always found that 'painted on' look makes it look more handmade and crafty, which can work for some projects. But for this, I can't see any 'seam' on the finish, which is perfect
@wrlSivan164 жыл бұрын
@@BrytonTaylor Absolutely agree. Crafty finishes are great for a rustic look, but to have something that looks effortless is more of a mind twister. I'm so thankful you thought of it. :)
