HP LEGO collector here - the reason the legs don’t move on the student minifigures is because they are made shorter than regular minifigure length, to emphasize that they must be portraying the younger versions of characters from the first few books/movies, and apparently they haven’t been able to design short legs that can move. The Mystery portrait tiles come in several other Lego HP sets released in 2024. I think there are 15 (or so) to collect. I do like combining parts from past advent calendars to create better scenes.

I love this time of year with you and have come to look forward to spending it with you. It helps me start getting into the holiday spirit. Rhyming is part of the fun. Please don't stop. As a mom who homeschooled her son (who is now 27) as part of school and using words we would walk down the street rhyming about the things we saw. It was great fun and sometimes as we are sitting around just talking the rhyming starts. We laugh and happy memories come flying back.

the child minifigures have shorter legs, so thats why they wont bend. i like the ghost minifig but the rest of this one isnt very interesting to me, the statues dont look very good.

If memory serves me correct, the Gen 1 Harry Potter LEGO figures didn't have bendable legs because they were such little kids in the first movie Philosopher's Stone, that LEGO gave them the 'kids' legs to make them appear smaller. I'm pretty sure that's why !

They made the non bending legs to represent children instead of adults so that Harry Potter as a 1st year wasn't as tall as Dumbledore. It does make it very difficult to create scenes where the children are sitting down.

The legs aren’t necessarily new. They’re used for kid mini figures as they are shorter than the mid or full size legs. And also, the cards are a collectible thing Lego is currently doing for the Harry Potter wave. So the cards are completely random for each set you get. They had a similar thing a few years ago with chocolate frog cards
