We visited some years ago and I would LOVE to go back... it was beyond fabulous! We got bus transfer from Heathrow and stayed in Watford! Definitely worth every penny... for the trip and for the priceless memories❤

I recently took my brother to Harry Potter Studio Tour for his birthday, suffice to say it was worth the price. The sets were amazing, the staff were very friendly, and we also had afternoon tea which was SO good

Do you think it would be better to book a guided tour versus a self guided tour? I also don't like that the guided tour starts at 11am versus the self guided tour allows you to enter as early as 8:30am

I have been there 3 times while living in London. I have moved back to my home country 3 years ago and haven't been back to London ever since, but I am planning to visit London and I would not miss the HP studio once I am there!

The regular tour was good enough for me. My kids and wife were fans, I not so much. Still I appreciate the attention to detail in all the sets and props. They truly created another reality for film. Coming from the US, taking a tour on a bus we caught out of central London was the best way to visit. I think the only other way out there is by car or taxi. Its been maybe 8 years since we sent.

Thanks for sharing; it's nice to hear that the regular tour was sufficient for you guys 🙌 I agree, the attention to detail was incredible! Yes, the tours from London that include bus transfer are the easiest way to get there. It is, however, also possible to take a train from Euston St to Watford Junction (takes around 20 mins) and then take a shuttle bus from the station to the Studios (10-15 mins). (I just wanted to mention this if other travellers are reading the comment section here and are considering going to the Studios)

The Cafes in Tokyo just feels a bit more immersive than the one in London. The Food Hall really does feel like the Great Hall. The Backlot Cafe looked like the Potions Classroom. The Frog Cafe had more decorative details and they even had a cafe outside that was Herbology Themed. I prefer the London tour for it's english tour. But if we're talking about the aesthetics and over-all feel? Tokyo Studios hands down! :) Even their entrance has a garden designed with HP characters and creatures. And there's a special station and train in Toshaimen that can take you to the studio. I suggest everyone to visit both if you're HP fans! Hehe.

plus the one in england is the original studio where the movies were filmed, plus you get to go to the other film locations throught england and scotland

I went last november to "Hogwarts in the snow" for the first time ever. I booked two days, the first day an unguided tour - and man I needed that oneIt was overwhelming to see all those things. The second day I also had the guideded tour and yes, i looks exensive at first But if you see what you get - like breakfast included, ticket, free video and photo shoots and you even get one pic in printed version a free butterbeer and paperguide (no lines you can skip them all) and you can reenter as often as you like (which means I literally sen in thetour from 9:00 a.m. til 8 p.m.) and the awesome guided tour as well... It was worth evers galleon, sickle and knut for me! Doing it again this year (and yes, also the guided tour). I agree it's not for everyone and it is expensive for a family but if you really want to treat yourself - do it!

How long is the guided tour? It says Guided Tour, Free Time of 7 hours so I can't tell how many hours the guided part is. Thanks.

It kind of depends on the group you're with, to be honest, but I think it took around 4,5 hours when I filmed this video.
