The "sexy horse man" is a centaur. Fun fact: it wasn't put into the movies, but that centaur does go on to become a Hogwarts professor later, and he actually had students having crushes on him because he was canonically a "sexy horse man". Also, yes, veins do carry blood, specifically bloodcells that need oxygen. They carry the blood to the heart. Arteries are the ones that carry blood with oxygen from the heart to the rest of the body.

Thing about the snitch is it’s worth 150 points and the game ends when it’s caught, it’s not an instant win. If your chasers are good enough and you score enough goals fast enough to be leading by more than 150 you can still win without the snitch. The points aren’t just game points either, they count towards the house cup, so quidditch is also a way to win the overall competition.

I remember being obsessed with some new girl band and their first single called 'Wannabe' when I was ten. I remember my big sister finding and emptying my candy stash that I had spent months accumulating. I distinctly remember wanting to punch her in the face as I discovered that treachery 😅 I remember being mad at my dad for taping an ice hockey match on a VHS cassette where I had unwatched ER episodes saved for a rainy day. I remember drooling over Leonardo DiCaprio _and_ his co-star Claire Danes in 'Romeo + Juliet'. Oh, and I remember chucking tiny rocks at the neighbor's fat Garfield-looking cat after it chased our cat up a tree for the hundreth time. Not proud of that.

I was in 4th grade when the first tmovie was coming out. There was already some buzz about the books so I got the first one to read before the movie came out. I was 11 so I was the same age as the kids in the books so it was the perfect timing. I grew up with the book and movie releases. It became a family tradition for me and my mom to go to Barnes & Noble and the movie theater midnight release parties for the books and movies every year. We were poor so would buy just rhe 1 copy of the hardcover and then I would read until bedtime, then put my bookmark in and then my mom would get the book to read during the night until we had both finished. I was 17 when the last book came out and you betcha, I was there at the midnight release with my mom @ Barnes & Noble. I was 22 when the last movie came out. Seems like it was just yesterday...time flies! My husband and I rewatch them all every few years. Recently weve been having date nights where we build one of the lego sets for Hogwarts while watching the next movie in order. We're up to Half-blood Prince and have the Owlery to build!

it was 1993 when i was 10 years old and almost every weekend, My dad, my Mom and myself would throw a mattress and some pillows in the back of the pick up truck, wed grab fast food, candy, and a cooler full of sodas and wed go to the drive in movie theater. where you would watch a double feature of two of the latest movies in theaters, and have a great time, some of my best memories. then on Sundays wed pack the truck up with stuff, go to the same drive through, arrive at 3am and wait in line til they opened, then we would pay the drive in teller to let us set up a shop along with hundreds of other people, and wed sell merchandise new and used to every day joes, haggling and finding cool and not always legal things, at a public swap meet. shoppers only had to pay .50 cents to get in, buyers had to pay a 20$ fee plus 10% of all commissions made. some of the best times of my life with my family, and the best memories of a long past time pretty much long gone in my area now...

There is a reason that Dumbledore insisted that Harry go live with his aunt as a baby & he must return for at least part of each summer to keep his aunt's home as his official home too. It's explained fully in the books. As long as he lives with a relative of the person that willingly sacrificed their life for him, his Love Magic protection against Voldemort stays alive in his blood. Dumbledore determined that this protection was worth it for Harry, as Harry looks just like his dad except with his mom's eyes. Harry's parents' photo has been seen by many wizards in the world, even by those that didn't know them personally, as they were among those known to fight Voldemort & it was their baby that brought Voldemort down somehow. (Well really it was Lily's sacrifice, but Dumbledore kept that part a secret from the public despite figuring it out from Harry's scar & the locations of James' & Lily's bodies.) Harry would likely eventually be recognized if he was raised among wizards & again the Love protection requires maintaining contact with a blood relative of the deceased. Harry staying with his aunt was the only way to keep that double protection going until he turned 11 & went to school. Once at school his location is outed to the Ministry though, & Voldemort has spies. So now that Harry only has the Love protection it's even more important to keep it going.

Funny, because before the movie came out I had to do a book report and I chose Harry Potter.... I did not read it at all. So my brother who did read it and is smart as heck helped me fake my report AND my presentation. I got intrigued after that and started really reading it and could not put the whole series down until all the books came out. I think the last book came out when I was 17 or 18 or something... The movies became my comfort movies for sure. Sad that JK Rowling is such a pos....
