My first bartending job was in the Kettle. I had just gotten out of the Army in '72, and couldn't find a job. The owner at the time knew I had a family and offered me the job. All I knew how to do was open a beer, and that was back in the day before all the mixes. Everything was made from "scratch". I worked there part time for 4 or 5 yrs, until I got a job out of town. I cherish the memory.
