Another advantage for Jeremy's Razors is that the cartridges don't clog up as easily as my old Harry's razor used to do.

My story's very similar to yours. Though, we don't have Harry's products in Australia, so for a little while after being put off Gilette, I was using Shick cartridges I think. But about a year and half ago, bought my first DE razor (just a cheap, unbranded thing I stumbled across one day) and have been blown away at just how much of a nicer shave they give. Less irritation, and a closer shave, less waste, and far less spend on blades. It really makes me wonder, how we got to a point in society, that we thought that the cheap, disposable, expensive, and painful cartridge razors were better than the classic double edge?

I’ve seen the Jeremy’s razor ad and thought it was great ad but sorry I much prefer a DE. I used to use a DSC cartridge and saw a review of a Dorco razor and it looked exactly the same as my DSC. I love how with a DE it just mows through a weeks work of thick stubble like nothing. The rivalry reminds me of the Ferrari Lamborghini rivalry. Lamborghini makes tractors and suggested an improvement for a part of Ferrari cars. Ferrari told him to pound sand and Lamborghini basically said I’ll show you and started producing cars.

I think Jeremy is chasing the cartridge market which is probably worth $20 billion globally but when more men start to realize that DE is much cleaner, easier and less painful that market will just surge.

I've never double-edge shaved, always been a cartride guy. So, I can't compare it to that. I have also never used Harry's (I was using Gillette, for crying out loud). But I went to Jeremy's after learning of Harry's woke stance. I've never had a better shave than that I get with Jeremy's. So, I'm sticking with it. I've got some pretty stiff wiskers, but I get a baby's bottom smooth, face and neck. Not in one downhill swipe. You have to go back uphill against the grain, rinsing the blades thoroughly as you go. Fortunately I don't have an ingrown hair probelm.

I highly recommend getting a good double edge razor. I don't know anything about the Rex brand so I can't comment on that brand. I also use a barber style straight razor that uses double edge blades if I go a few days without shaving. I switched several years ago because of cost savings and not because of political BS. I also use a brush, cake of soap, and mug to lather up because I saw no reason to buy cans of shaving creme. I will never go back.

I would say for the safety razor (double edge razor) to me is the best shave I ever gotten the cartage razor can be close but not entirely comfortable even shaving with a disposable one or two blade razor to be is better than the other carriage razor by comfort and with the safety razor I shave a lot of money buying the blades for it but 50 blades for the safety razor for 10 dollars and don’t have to buy more for a year than spending 30 to 20 dollars on refills of cartage razor so I go by safety razor I recommend to try it and try wet shaving to because a shaving cream in a can cause more razor burn than it does with a razor which is my opinion to try safety razor if not stay with cartage razor.

I got the "founders" kit from Jeremy's when they announced, mainly because I wanted to support the Daily Wire. Up until then I used a Gillette Fusion on a handle from "Art of Shaving" along with the Art of Shaving cream with a AOS brush to apply. A few observations on the Jeremy's. 1. After about 2 months the finish on the handle flaked of almost completely, It started to pull up around the rubber grip and I was able to just use my thumb to rub the rest off. Pretty sketchy. 2. The plastic on that holds the blades is too thick, because of this it's more difficult to tell when you are getting close to any facial hair or sideburns, so it's harder to line yourself up. Apparently they added a single blade on the back of the cartridge to help this, but I don't have any of those blades yet. 3. Jeremy's needs to add color to their lube strip, the white strip does a horrible job of letting you know when it's time to change blades. 4. Jeremy's shave cream don't lather anywhere near enough. I emptied the tube into a tub so I could properly use my beard brush, and it still sucked. The cartridge and handle are serviceable enough, but nothing to write home about.

Used to use Harry's. Liked the razor cause it was similar to the Gillette fusion. Cartridge razors were causing razor burn, so I bought a DE starter kit from you. Love it and wish I had switched years ago.

I bought the Merkur Razor double-edge safety razor 39c, Chrome in 2013 and use it daily along with Astra Platinum Double Edge Safety Blades,100 Count for $8.50, and still, have 43 left after all these years. It is a beast to start out with, you will cut yourself, but after a while, you get the feel and will love it. I paid $50 for it, and $65 now.

Today's shave will be a DE shave and Rex Enovy is in the rotation. I have used Dorco and Harry's did not convince me to stop using DE razors. Great video and interesting video

Electric razors for the last 20 years. Only did the disposable razors in my early 20's and found the whole shaving experience to be uncomfortable until getting the electric razor. Maybe not as close, but it's certainly painless and over in a flash :) This was an entertaining and informative video. Nice job!

Was a Harry's customer. Didn't like the woke stuff. So I went to Jeremy's. I found the same thing. Harry's is dangerously sharp. It felt like it was removing skin too. Jeremy's didn't get QUITE as close but was exponentially more comfortable. I'll stick with Jeremy's. I'd rather support someone that shares my views and I'm a Daily Wire subscriber so that tells you all you need to know. Suck it, Harry's.

To quote Henry Kissinger, "it's a shame they can't both lose". I'm soooo sick of companies insisting that using their products must necessarily become political. Harry's stance, particularly after Gillette going woke, is ridiculous. After all, Harry's got its start by advertising all over the place, right and left. But Jeremy's Razors are just playing the same stupid game now being the anti-woke. The whole reason I bought my first DE, and then moved to a straight razor, was to avoid the politics. That and to try to use less throwaway and disposable plastics and metals.

If you told me 3 months ago that I'd be watching videos on KZbin of a guy shaving and it wasn't part of brain re-programing ala A Clockwork Orange, I'd have said you needed your brain re-programed ala A Clockwork Orange...but here we are... I was thoroughly entertained by your obvious reluctance to shave with either one of these razors-- laughed out loud, actually. I have used a Harry's razor, and the experience is what started me down the DE path-- saw a Henson razor ad and ordered one from you after watching your review, then ordered 2 more as gifts. Saw the Jeremy's ad and loved it, but I'll never go back to cartridges-- if they ever do a DE, I'm in.

When Jeremy's made their intro into the market, a bunch of guys were begging for a DE version. Thanks for the video.

I have been a Harrys customer for about 12 years, but last week was the last straw. I got another bottle of shave balm for the 12 th time, Made my normal call to customer service telling them I dont like or use it and since the person I was speaking to had no method of fixing my problem, I said how about if you cancel my service. She replyed in a flat voice I will cancel it for you and we hung up...What a way to run a business. Eric N

I have also tried both, and prefer Jeremy’s products. However, I prefer my double edged razors over both of them. I’d sure like to give one of those Rex razors a try.

Ive never shaved with cold water....hot water is much better heats up the blades and goes through alot better also helps the facial hair stand up.

Don't knock it till you try it. May feel better but relaxes skin and let's hair stretch more - which for many men causes ingrowns.

Combine Anti-Wokeness, razor burn and the need/desire to shave everyday,(Also nostalgia) you get me switching to wet shaving. So far running a Merkur 23c with a Simpsons trafalgar, La Toja shave stick and Van Der Hagen aftershave balm. Actually like the aftershave but the soap is a bit thirsty and still haven't mastered it, I'd like to switch to cella I think but I got to get through it to justify it😉

I had to shave in the military and before then. I used Harry's before and the tugging and then having to shave a few times to get it clean was murder. This is the first video I seen on Jeremy's versus Harry's

Thanks for doing this Matt. Great job on briefly touching on the origin of Jeremy’s, without getting too far into the gritty details. I feel strongly about this issue, but you kept it very classy here.

Great video! I was curious about the difference between Jeremy's and Harry's because I purchased Jeremy's. I purchased because I wanted to support their cause. It did shift me from my old reliable Norelco electric razor back to a blade shave, which I had been thinking about doing for a while anyway. Supporting Jeremy's Razor did remind me of how long it's been since I've had a decent shave, having used the electric for so many years. When I first shaved with Jeremy's I was disappointed that it wasn't more comfortable and didn't seem like a very "sharp" blade. I actually dusted off my old Mach 3 (yes, that's how long I have been using the Norelco) and compared it to Jeremy's and the Mach 3 was closer and more comfortable. Although I am willing to support a good cause and buy Jeremy's, I will likely not continue to, but for a different reason than you might think. In this video you mentioned Rex....so I checked it out, and now I've been introduced to the double edge razor. I should say re-introduced because I remember playing with my dad's when I was a kid. I've wateched a number of your videos and I'm completely sold on your product. I love quality, and I love Made in the USA. I will be buying the Ambassador, polished. I just need to decide if I want the XL or standard handle. I'm also commenting because I hope to get a shirt (so shameless, I know). Seriously, I completely appreciate your work to produce a quality product. I appreciate the engineering and cost of materials it takes to make something of quality that will last. I'm always willing to pay more for that.

I want to like Jeremy’s razor for all reasons mentioned, plus it’s named after me, but it pulls and is uncomfortable. The blade doesn’t last as long either. Harry’s just works better for me. Obviously to each their own. Maybe I’ll try the double edge and see how that turns out!

Thanks for taking one for the team Matt. I personally would not put that crap (razor and cream) anywhere near my face. After three years of owning an Ambassador I am saving money and being kinder to the environment too. Hope the Ingrow hairs will not be too bad👍

OneBlade for face, and OneBlade for body. My favorite razors so far. Best electric one I’ve ever had, way better than the bulky ones with guards or 3 rotating circles. Also way better with just water than any combination of cartridge and pressurized foam.

My Rex Envoy has allowed me to throw out cartridge razors entirely and look forward to shaving on a daily basis. Along with learning how to load a brush with quality soap for skin prep. Shaving is a Zen experience for me now and forever.

Here to see the comparo. Ive been looking to switch to Jeremys from Harrys (current). As a guy who shaves the face and head, any tips on the REX and DE for head shaving? Definitely interested, but skeptical of DE shavers for the head.

I've noticed Harry's cartridges last about 2 weeks. If you have multiple days of stubble, it clogs quickly and is impossible to clean. I have also had the blades separate on occasion.

I bought a Harry's razor before all the controversy and never got the refill cartridges because I wasn't impressed and there were better options out there. I never tried a Jeremy's Razor because I figured it would be just like a Harry's. Maybe I will someday but for now I'm very happy with my 60's Gillette DE safety razor and the cost savings are BIG.

Hi Matt, nice video as always. I’ve never used either product and almost certainly never will - they’ll bury me with my Rockwell 6S! Having said that, I am a regular consumer of Daily Wire content; they are certainly more aligned with my philosophical bent than is Harry’s. So if I *had* to pick one company to support it’d be an easy choice. Jeremy’s last name is Boering, btw. Keep up the good work!
