Harry Styles - Falling - Old Guy Reaction

Well, I officially just saw the best video I have ever seen in my life. I have never seen such an amazing video that grabs your emotion and had such good graphics in Harry Styles singing underwater.
I am not sure if it is real, just because the air bubbles were not coming out of his mouth. I am going to have to see the making of this video...if there is a "making".
None the less....it was an insane video. I loved it.

He actually went underwater! The room he’s in was built above a pool of water (heated water though so he doesn’t get sick cause it was cold when this was filmed) and they kept lowering the set until he went under. Though the scene where he’s fully under had to be shot at stages cause obviously he needed to come back up and breathe. It was really cool tbh though a bit risky but there’s nothing Harry can’t do hahaha

They built the set and lowered into a tank of water. Harry said the water was warmed up for him so he didn’t freeze. A couple of Easter eggs: The beginning of the video is him sitting on the floor, wet and exhausted. This shows he survived the ordeal. The rest of the video is a flashback as to what he had gone through- drowning in his own emotions. About midway through the video, the shutters on the window suddenly flies open. In background is a faint outline if the Eiffel Tower. This is a tribute to his former French girlfriend who had left him heartbroken. Finally, when he becomes completely submerged, his face momentarily morphs into “fetus” Harry.

Nil Akgun Yes, you’re right. No one except Harry and his inner circle know who really broke his heart. However, I think it is a safe assumption that the tower was intentional. And Harry did include Camille’s voice at the end of “Cherry” and singing about Camille’s new boyfriend taking her to his parent’s art gallery. If the album isn’t about Camille then Harry went to great lengths to mislead his fans. Which is fine with me. He has a right to protect his privacy. 🤷🏻‍♀️. As Harry has said himself, why does anyone care about his sexual orientation or who is dating. I agree, let the poor guy have a life without all the crazy, often conflicting, rumors, theories and speculations. TPWK.

@@maw7455 yeah cherry might and probably about camille but i really think its a stunt song bc their relationship doesn't seem right to me you know. They 'dated' for 8 months or something if i remember correctly and they have only seen once together throughout the relationship... and ofcourse the heart moniter interview before dating they didnt even knew each other? Its really long so i dont wamt to get into it lol anways i dont think falling is about her tho you know "beachwood cafe" and stuff also there are connections to louis too.

The emotion in this song is incredible, and the way he told the story through the video was absolutely amazing, there is so much vulnerability and humility in this song it’s incredible! Harry is an absolutely incredible artist!

Every thing in the video was real. He really was moving his mouth as if he was singing underwater. Harry for sure was the mastermind behind the idea of the video as he does for all the visual aspects of his art. The MV looks similar to a painting 🖼 that Harry shared on his IG back in 2015, I think he was inspired by that painting. I think the reason why the water rising is suppose to represent anxiety and how it can literally feel like you’re drowning sometimes when u have it....and in the song he kinda talk about some stuff and feelings you go through when u have anxiety, you know sometimes if u have really bad anxiety u can really feel like it’s just taking over and like in the video u feel like you’re drowning inside you’re body and u don’t know what to do or how to make it stop...but I have watched this mv probably 1000 times and there are so many small details in it that I dint notice the first time that just makes it a lot deeper and sad.. for example the most obvious one is probably the fact that the beginning of the video shows the end..he is sitting on the floor completely wet just breathing and I feel like he means by that, that he is feeling better now you know he has dealed whit heart break and anxiety and now it’s over and he finally feel like he can just breathe again....

His live performance of this song at the Brit Awards is haunting. He was mugged at knifepoint a few days before and a good friend of his died by suicide the day before (some say it's an ex-girlfriend, but he was 17 and she was 30-something, and I've seen interviews where he has denied it, so I don't believe there is much truth to it). But you can see and hear every emotion in this performance.

Wow, your reactions are SO genuine! It's like I'm seeing this masterpiece of a video all over again, thru someone elses eyes. This is directed by Dave Meyers, he is amazing director, also did the Adore You mv (with the fish, did you check that out yet?), that extended version must be my all-time favourite Harry video. The song is simple but so beautiful, full of emotion. I still wonder why it is not a HUGE hit. And it actually made many grown men cry. I've seen it. :)
