Harry's concludes his 2018 tour in LA, but his breathing problems plague him throughout the evening. His desire to end the tour on a high note has taken a priority over his body - Los Angeles on 7/14/2018.
Despite Harry's health, he continues to entertain millions across the world. Asthma is a very common condition and affects each person differently, and is typically very manageable.

Do either of you remember the month & year of this show? It kinda looks like he may have been sick too (like a cold or flu bug)... but could also be suffering from plain exhaustion (which can be VERY dangerous even to the point of hospitalization). I hope he felt better the next day!

I don’t understand why they use fog machines at his concerts when it triggers asthma attacks. It is dangerous for him to push himself to such extremes with his condition. I wish the entertainment industry would take better care of stars and have better management teams that protect them. He needs to take more breaks also. Professionals entertainers should never be pushed to such extremes that their health and wellbeing are in danger.

I'm actually really glad you've made this account because I also struggle with asthma, so seeing him also struggling is very comforting and educational, if you know what I mean. I like seeing his struggles and how similar our reactions are to certain things. I love singing but, 1, I have a terrible voice ☹️, and 2, my asthma gets in the way, by the chorus I'm wheezing and coughing. I normally sing to his songs, and his parts in 1d, and it is HARD to do what he did and does.

I'm a singer with asthma, to say that he's inspiring is to say nothing. I also love to move a lot and end up being out of breath sometimes after 2 songs. I screwed up one of my exams miserably because of not giving myself a moment to recover and the last song was also the most demanding then. Also the first month after having Corona was horrible. I had been making so much progress before and then it all went like a year back. The high tones I worked so hard for were gone and I would be out of breath after every song. But I hope, that with work and exercise I can improve even more and be able to have energetic shows some day :) he's a legend and an example for us to be legends too, don't give up ❤️

OMG, it is hard enough to have a persistent cough.I couldn't imagine being a world class performer trying to sing in front of tens of 1000's of people in LA who have come to see you- not to mention all the key players in the entertainment industry! @@MyMindMood I saw an interview right after Coachella and he said while on tour,he drinks no alcohol, eat very healthy,drinks lots of water, gets 11-12 hours sleep per night and doesn't stay up late.Smart man.He has been doing this since he was 16.He knows what works for him.Its entertainment for us and he loves performing but it is,after all, a working career,and he is making it all work.I think one of his greatest strengths is surrounding himself with a team of people who he has worked with for a long time.

I just lost my spouse at 33 years old, 11 months ago to asthma and it’s nothing to play with. Once yearly she was hospitalized in ICU while they pumped her with steroids to try to get her lungs back together. It was so awful to watch and I’m in the most pain one person can ever experience but, I’m thankful she is finally at peace without any physical pain & I know she’s still with me. As a chronic asthmatic who has dealt with asthma since I was 3, this made me uncomfortable and anxious to watch, and made me feel so sorry for the guy. Even slight changes in atmosphere, temperature, and routine can trigger your asthma, which is probably what triggered his. The fog, heat, and possible exhaustion. I got put on a treatment that worked well to control and prevent my asthma attacks, but since starting my new job, where I'm around very potent and hazardous chemicals everyday, I've been having severe attacks that my treatment hasn't been able to control or prevent, and it's very uncomfortable. For anyone who doesn't know much about asthma - the airways tighten and tense (bronchospasm), which restricts airflow; then they swell and fill with mucus, which causes a “wheezing” kind of squeak, and the mucus restricts airflow even further.

As a chronic asthmatic myself, it really hurts my heart seeing Harry struggle so much for his breath. It’s a scary feeling when you just can’t get enough air into your lungs, and you feel like ur gonna pass out. I also used to sing semi-professionally and there were times when I just couldn’t breathe... it’s hard to even get ANY sound out at all sometimes, never mind hit the right notes and make them sound like any other performance. Hats off to you Harry, such a professional... and such a kind hearted, loving individual, never wanting to let anyone down.😘 Just take care of yourself and your lungs!! many people might not understand that harry styles has asthma and it’s not an easy thing to get through I have it and I can say that I really don’t know how he did this concert especially with all that fog, it’s hard to watch him catch his breath and he kept on coughing throughout the show and he barley danced because if he did he would pass out, I know this was 4 years ago but I still remember this every time I have an asthma attack, poor guy he should know that he doesn’t have to be perfect and he could have canceled the show and done it the next day put it would be really hard to tell THOUSANDS of people to come back tomorrow that’s why he did cancel and did it this day this is how much he loves us and how much effort, energy, time, love, and basically his whole life into just ONE ONE show

I did SOTT karaoke just to myself once... I had very very bad asthma when I was younger but now it rarely bothers me, only when I do a ton of running or exercise. By the end of SOTT I needed my inhaler. His asthma is so much worse than mine and he sings so many more songs, yet he has the best concerts. Harry is a true performer and no one can make me change my mind.

Of course a band as big as 1D was at the time would have had a reasonable amount of control with major decisions surrounding lighting and effects as they are an integral component to the overall image and branding of the band and almost as important as their live sound production ...

In a sense, he's an athlete and needs his arsenal of tricks to perform. As a former athlete with asthma, it starts with breathing through your nose when you start having problems in order to make sure the air going through your passages is warm, moist, and filtered. With no other medical intervention around, caffeine is a good substitute and keep the airways open. He could easily do a "costume change" or some other break to use his inhaler, and if that doesn't work well enough a nebulizer is extremely simple and can get you ready in a couple of minutes. And this is all minimized if taking daily medication. He needs to make sure his health is his number one priority.

All good points! While we don’t know his regimen or medications, we can only assume he’s pre-treating his asthma before going on stage and taking other maintenance meds. If the air quality is bad or he has a virus, his symptoms flare up. He’s not one to cancel a show or not give 100%, so I think that’s why we see him in this condition from time to time.

This was heartbreaking to watch. I get it that he has a paying audience and he wants to do his best by his fans. But asthma can be fatal. I really wish that he would refund the audience and get the medical attention he so clearly needs. We would miss him so much if anything was to happen to him. ♥️

I'm an ashmatic and I used to be a dancer, everytime they used the fog machine I would get an asthma attack. What happens is that because the lungs are close, we don't oxygen, and we start getting dizzy. If we don't the inhaler, we could have a respiratory attack and we could die. That beautiful man, risks his live, every time he performs. He really loves what he does, he really loves his fans and he doesn't want to dissapoint them. God bless him!!!

I understand his breathing problems, I'm on Oxygen 24-7 and if I can't catch my breath I have severe anxiety attacks! It's the most horrible and scary feeling in the world when you're gasping for air...🙏❤️

Hazza needs to know that we love him and we can understand when he needs to take a break when he's not up to par... I heap rather have Hazza healthy than feeling so bad he's having to push himself cause he feels if he don't finish we wouldn't want to hear him again nor tend another one of his concerts... I mean yeah it would be a little noooo but not enough to understand... Bless his heart... 🌿🌹🌿

I have watched multiple videos from you with harry in this condition. I can’t believe that with all these health issues he is still able to do shows. He is such a trooper mg! I also can’t believe that they still use a fog machine while knowing about Harry’s asthma. Don’t they care more about his health than cool effects? I hope he is ok.

They use way less fog now. I went to a show in Chicago and the fog was very very light.

Breaks my heart, my brother's struggled with asthma 💔 😢 I wish he could've taken a break and get inhaler if only all he needed But with asthma IT can get worse 💔 But Harry is so passionate in wanting to keep going for his fans. 1st time I saw a video of him struggling to breathe 😔 He's an amazing beautiful soul ❤️ 💖 💜

I used to have asthma when I was younger now I outgrew of that but I remember the pain well. You get exhausted by breathing during an attack. He is pushing himself so much singing, dancing and entertaining a whole arena. I’m proud to say he is my Idol and he always reminds me to work hard whenever I feel down and done but I really hope that he look after himself better. He is only human he doesn’t have to be perfect for us to love him and support him. I just hope he will understand that what is important for us most is his well-being. Take care H. Love you.
