The irony that they were horrible parents in the movie but irl they helped Mara Wilson (the girl who played matilda) and supported her while her mom was battling cancer. Danny DeVito even went to visit the mom and gave her a early copy of the film before she passed.

I love the little "Ummmmmm" when he asked if she's in this family. The child actually had to think about it. Also, how did I not catch this but she was born in August, than that means that they left that poor baby in the closed up car in August! It's a wonder she's alive. Even a few minutes could have killed her, or at least caused severe brain damage. And, judging by the fact that they have decorative rocks instead of a lawn, I'm assuming they live somewhere like Arizona or Nevada, where it gets ridiculously hot in the summer.

But seriously, greatly recommend them, they're a great tool to navigate a bad situation, and they're super satisfactory in their subversion. From Jack's mom dying climbing the beanstalk by being a hypocrite, to the despotic prince killing Cinderella's step sisters and Cinderella dumping him for a good dude.
