An underappreciated film, and underappreciated performances by all. Wayne's best in my opinion.

We went there in 2007. Loved it, took the "Quiet man Tour". They showed where different scenes took place. The R.R. Station was south east of Cong (inisfree) about 40 miles. The bridge was about 30 miles west of Cong. In a beautiful part of Ireland. About 35 miles north of Galway City. I hope to go back to Ireland someday, again.

In real life, its Ballyglunin, Co. Galway......my mother's homeplace is a 5 min walk down the road in Crumlin, a village in Ballyglunin. The station is between Athenry and Tuam on a now sadly closed railway line. The track embankment runs along the front of our land. It's about a 30 minute drive from Galway City, and the station is still there in all its glory.

Castle town train station is actually called Ballyglunin train station and its last journey was in 1976 so its a long time out of order, I live just down the road from it and its just like Hollywood on your doorstep

Who is the character that says! I wonder now why a man would go to Innisfree? I don't think it was the guy driving the train, Mr Castillo.
