Flat head screw driver and lots of patience to get 3 part lower grill off. Good tip for re installing inserts spray clip openings with fairy and water helps them clip in. Trim tool tip use a metal dinner fork works a treat.👍

I'm currently selling my land rover 90 & will probably get a T4 or Caddy van. I don't have T6 money 😂 Ideas for the mk2; 1. If the paintwork is good but covered in cobweb scratches, wet sand, compound & polish it (look up car detailing), unless you're wanting a new colour 🎨 2. Twin DTM exhaust back box 3. Golf ball gear knob ⛳ 4. Wheel centres painted to go with new colour, or slap some Ronal Turbos or Pirelli P slots, or even deep dish BBS that makes the car look wider stance from behind. 5. See if somewhere like GSF (German Swedish French) or Euro car parts or wherever you get your parts from to sponsor you. You get enough views surely they'd pay you to advertise & give you parts. 6. Go to a VW show in the golf. Good to network for parts & inspiration, info etc. Glad to see you happy though Harry & looking forward to more vids 👍

To remove lower grilles, the outer ones come off first followed by the middle. Start from the middle outwards ad they pop off with the help of a trim tool.

Fitted my new grill tonight. Took 1hr 15mins after watching yours and Transporter HQ video. Hardest but was the headlight washer pipe. It said to push the blue bits in and pull off but couldn’t reach the backside of the push fitting. Got there in the end. Went for a badgeless gloss black grill.

you need to give them clips half turn with a screwdriver then pull them out dude, also hydro dip your spoiler the same carbon as your badges.

a good tip for getting them clips undone is to put a flathead screwdriver through the middle where it splits and wiggle it though and it will come out easy

Trim tools are for interior trim use. You need to look at an auto factors for exterior trim tools. As for diy paint spraying you will need a minimum of 4hp and the larger the cfm number the better.

Door panel removal tools man , they like a pigsfoot , metal ones are great for stubborn clips also throw some wd40 on them before hand makes it alot easier bro 😉 also use a heat gun on the grill clips just heat alittle makes them pop off easier
