This film shows scenes from 31 August 1944, during the Presidential Campaign. Most of the film is from Lamar, Missouri. It shows Senator Harry S. Truman's visit to his birthplace, in a parade, meeting with Democrats. Bess Truman and Margaret Truman accompany him. It includes excerpts from Senator Harry S. Truman's Vice Presidential acceptance speech, which is heavily edited.
