How would you know if the bst has been altered just because it doesn't pass your compression test ?

If a rolled bat just makes it the same as a broken in bat then how could you possibly know if the bat is rolled or just well used? I get the shaved bat issue but whats the problem with a rolled bat? How could you prove it's rolled and not just broken in well?

Exactly. A rolled bat is just broken in. A shaved bat is cheating and will alter the weight of the bat because material is removed.

Compression test will not tell if it's been altered now if it fails compression then the weight is also off then you may have something.
