पश्चिम महाराष्ट्रातील सहकार धुरीण, एकेकाळचे काँग्रेस पक्षातील मुख्यमंत्रिपदाचे दावेदार हर्षवर्धन पाटील यांनी अखेर पक्षबदलाचा निर्णय घेतला आहे. भाजपच्या नेतृत्वाने उमेदवारीचा शब्द देऊनही तो न पाळल्याने नाराज हर्षवर्धन पाटील यांनी आपली वाट वाकडी करून ज्येष्ठ नेते शरद पवार यांच्या पक्षाची तुतारी फुंकण्याचा निर्णय घेतला आहे. गुरुवारी त्यांनी शरद पवार यांच्या ‘सिल्वर ओक’ निवासस्थानी भेट घेतली. उभय नेत्यांमध्ये प्रवेशाच्या अनुषंगाने चर्चा झाली. पाऊण तासांच्या भेटीनंतर हर्षवर्धन पाटील सिल्वर ओकवरून निघाले. प्रवेशाच्या निर्णयावर जसेही शिक्कामोर्तब झाले तसे हर्षवर्धन पाटील यांची लेक अंकिता आणि पुत्र राजवर्धन यांनी व्हॉट्सअॅप स्टेटस ‘तुतारी वाजवणारा माणूस’ असे ठेवल्याने काहीच तासांत त्यांच्या प्रवेशाची अधिकृत घोषणा होऊ शकते, असे संकेत मिळाले.
