Hart Parr 12/24 Magneto Swap Have I Just Wasted £600 ???

The Hart Parr needs a magneto change back to original equipment to allow adjustment of the spark ignition timing; will it improve the backfiring in the exhaust or have I just wasted £600???

Very Good, Great tractor, runs sweetly, Love the oilers, Try not to turn the mag without spark plugs connected, Can damage the HT coil with the higher voltage that is developed when the mag tripps without plug leads and plugs. But these American Bosch mags were well insulated when first wound.

On a smaller scale I really struggled to find a magneto for an old Villiers engine I rebuilt a couple of years ago. A bit gutted because I had to give up with it. Couldn't get a spark.

@@life_on_cars yep magnetos can be troublesome, even though they're simple, that's why I spent the money. Spark is all good on this, just fuel issues, update coming soon.....👍
