The hoods in Hartford are typically pretty safe during the day, but definitely gets dicey late at night around 2am. My dad used to have a close friend that lived here, & when he would drop his friend off at their house late at night people would think he was an undercover cop lmao (he owned a sportier car). You should definitely go check out New Haven & Bridgeport! Stay safe

Chelsea is just starting to see gentrification creep in from east Boston, which was also a rundown Hispanic hood up until recently (it still has parts that are) Chelsea was always really rundown and hispanic, but you do see some fixed up stuff here and there now, with more to come I'm sure. I would consider chelsea and Eastie to easily have been just as rundown as Hartford until recently cause I've spent a lot of time in both places. Eastie, Chelsea, Revere, Everett, and Lynn all touch and were basically like the bronx, being a large, hood urban area. Boston's level of gentrification is through the roof now tho. Soon any Boston hood will be pushed out to small cities 45 minutes or more from Boston, like has been going on for years. Accept for the projects, unless they get demolished like a lot have. It's so fucking expensive to live here now, but all the work is here. A lot of Boston looked like Hartford in 2005 and before. Now its turning into what happened to San Fran Cisco. The city is getting nicer and the suburbs are getting worse.

In and around Albany Ave. Very familiar with the area... Not to long ago these were classy neighborhoods.. Would have liked to have seen where the Syms street jail was.. What they have turned that into..

Lol don’t even know why anyone would live in that state in general unless they were making 7 figures. You can get such a better quality of life somewhere else. New England is expensive in general but Connecticut takes it to a new level
