The Hartford Half Marathon starts in front of the State Capitol in Hartford, Connecticut. This large event attracts over 14,000 runners who compete in either the half marathon, full marathon, or 5k. The race features a rolling course that includes the state capitol, Elizabeth Park, downtown Hartford, and an exciting finish at the Memorial Arch in Bushnell Park.

Good overview. One correction -- when on Trout Brook Drive (between mi6 and mi7), at 3:28 you will pass The UConn Hartford Campus located on the LEFT, not the right.

Update -- this is now the FORMER UConn Hartford Campus. But the building on the left and the parking lot on the right are still there & serve as good landmarks of roughly how far you've run up to that point.

How did you drive the wrong way in Elizabeth Park?

The road we take into the park is a one-way street. So while filming, it was necessary to move against the outgoing traffic. No outbound traffic will be allowed on that road on race day, so no worries the day of the race.
