I read Midori completed different! For me she was energetic, fun, full of life, like quirky, bit crazy, and LOUD! this girls seems too sweet and dull.

To be honest, both Midori and Toru seemed completely different in the novel. Toru seemed mature and taciturn while Midori was cheerful and talkative. But this Toru is cute and innocent, and Midori is sweet and shy. Still, I love the novel characters and like how the actors played the roles. Btw I was really expecting more Toru and Midori scenes :(
