I'm new to watching basketball. I graduated from Princeton, but never attended any games. I just started watching Princeton on KZbin since our 9-year-old granddaughter started playing basketball. Could someone explain why Princeton's fabulous players don't seem to go after their own rebounds? It puzzles me.

It may be related to the fact that when getting in paint they could get fouled. They probably do not want to sustain injuries.

Might be because they want to get back on defense quicker

High level coaches teach that you should focus more on making the shot than to immediately running for your rebound, these players dont chase for their own rebounds because they are confident on making their shots
