You here in the U.S? If you are, lucky for you. If you are in the Philippines, you need to tell your professors to do it the American way. I earned my bachelor's in the Philippines and I am now in the U.S for my Masters. It's a totally different environment. The Philippine system is just ugh! I don't wanna say the word because I don't want to offend Filipinos.

I was a graduate MSBA student at SDSU on Marketing years ago and case study method was used very successfuly back then too. And as an entrepreneur, I would say all those studies provided a great foundation to my professional life, Real life challenges are always tougher so case study method is great exercise just like building muscles before the real performance. Thanks for this inspiring video .

And there you have it - the sheer class of Harvard University . "It is not about dissemination of knowledge but it is everyone participating in the co-creation of knowledge". Because truth is relative and reality is always fluid. Therefore, this is such a creative yet profoundly intelligent thinking !

Have all ingredient to be in such big platform like others I. E all 90 participants but it needs lots of fund and help..... Reaching there and having a life of a fellow students like all is a real dream for everyone ,so leave the life to fullest in the Harvard business school . all the best, every one. Really an honour to see few participant's view point relating to management case ,including all respected professors thought regarding the above matter - (Not spreading knowledge but collecting all leadership thought cum strategy then doing study in it an make it into one whole thing ....). Thank you for the video's _upload more , (more real case study about management in any field I. E relating to any industry ) 4M INDIA [KOLKATA ] @A STUDENT. 🙏🙋.

Fulfilled "human responsibilities" to the customer through the bussinness. I like that whole classroom end result 👍 it's hard to get 90 peoples listening to mine and voicing theirs in harmonies. Human responsibilities just now includes branches on social, economy, racial and moral justice, safety etc even correct ethical conduct. Balanced, fair, honest, honor etc is the backbones of all these.

In collaborative group work many students have a habit of leaving work to the last minute. If you are an early starter they will resent you. Students may exclude you from group communications. Your work may be deliberately sabotaged by other members of your group. Others may take your early work and claim it as their own. Students experience these group work challenges, and more. Listen, students will share their real experiences. Transformational learning doesn’t happen in just one way, there isn’t a formula, students are diverse learners.

Perspective on Various Method of the Equation is Very Vital ,In cases where the Students are Speaking in their own way and willing to CHANGE it's Economic Line ,It's so important that the Perspective and Opinions that they made could be their backbone to life in Reality And Using This Method ,Tool or either way it will have an Impact in the lives of many ,It will either change the way we see Things in a Positive way or not ,That's the Conclusion and Consciousness of the Mindsets Globally 🌎🌎

Well if you try to learn the business in classroom with such a case study method what mistakes you'll make in real life can be learnt in classroom only. I agree classroom doesn't give market experience but classroom provides u an ability to develop these kinda skills and be sure that this kinda decision making skill impacts a lot of people. So discussing in a classroom makes you a better decision maker.

Its true..when i get a first case study, i though it was boring bcoz i need to read a lot of word and paragraph.. But when i start reading and having a discussion in class, i found that this method is really interesting.. i even debating with my lecture to see how this thing give impact on something...i always ask "why" and how to solve the problem.. its help me to think outside the box and try to see the problem from different perspectives.. seriously HBS is a suitable place for me to future my study...

I've used this method in cooperation with Harvard. Its OK but not great. Think about it. You have 90 students and the class takes about 90 minutes. If the entire class participates that's about one minute per person. That means each student is spending 89 minutes listening to the relatively uninformed opinions of students. Of course all the student do not participate only the ones who think they know what they are talking about. It can be fun but its not as efficient as reading or taking notes during a lecture. It might work better with a much smaller class.
