The idea of being nameless for god is a given in eastern spirituality, if you were to venture outside the speculative guesswork of western tomes, and look eastward. Daoists have nicknames, Yogis are nameless too. Seminal works like the Daodejing are written under names like Laozi (meaning 'Old One').
