The students of today are the leaders of tomorrow and covid 19 has had a profound effect on education. I am enrolled in a course in which we must research a topic in correlation to education. Our children have suffered because the social supports needed in the virtual environment are limited. Hurricane Dorian and a Pandemic brought on learning losses in Abaco, The Bahamas. We are seeking ways to help students become independent learners, meet their psychosocial needs and assist teachers with strategies that would engage each student. I especially like the strategy of prioritizing the curriculum to cater to student needs. Thank you.
