They were roasted or steamed in palm leaves. It is too cold here in Northern Europe for them to grow, but they have also been found in palm trees in the Mediterranean countries. I think it's good that you're taking it easy and not carrying those heavy baskets anymore. Stay healthy and be considerate of the unborn - means grandpa.
